In maha mantra their is 4 Krishna names and 4 Rama names. as per to the holy scripters one Rama is equal to thousand names of Vishnu and 3 names of Rama is equal to 1 name of Krishna.
Sri Rama Rama Rameti, Rame Rame Manorame;
Sahasrenama tattulyam, Rama Nama Varanane.

sahasra-namnam punyanam, trir-avrttya tu yat phalam;
ekavrttya tu krsnasya, namaikam tat prayacchati.
(BrahmÄnda Purana)
"The pious results (punya) achieved by chanting the thousand holy names of Vishnu (Vishnu sahasra nama stotram) three times can be attained by only one utterance of the holy name of Krishna."
How many vishnu names is equal to one maha mantra ?
1 Krishna name = 3 Rama name
4 Krishna names = 4 * 3 = 12 Rama name
12 Rama name + 4 Rama name = 16 Rama name
Means :
In 1 maha mantra there is 16 Rama names.
1 Rama name = 1000 Vishnu names
That means :
16 Rama names = 16 * 1000 = 16000 Vishnu names (In 1 maha mantra)
Devotees in Hare Krishna movement chant atleast 16 rounds of rosary (Japa mala/ Prayer beads) at regular basis.( One Prayer beads has 108 beads)
Means, 108 * 16000 = 17,28,000 Vishnu names
16 rosary rounds * 17,28,000 = 2,76,48,000 Vishnu names
To wit = 2 crore 76 lakh 48 thousand Vishnu names
This is the power of maha mantra and the easiest and peaceful way to awake Krishna consciousness.
In kali santarana upanishad, which is one of the part of Atharva-veda,it is clearly mentioned that in present Yuga, kaliyuga, which is full of miseries and pain,if anyone wants to awake godly love,The only easiest method is to chant the 16 name of god.
